The deadline for families to apply for free school meal vouchers from Kent County Council (KCC) ends at 5pm on Monday 2nd November.
The voucher scheme was announced at the beginning of the week by KCC Leader Roger Gough.
Mr Gough said that no Kent child should go hungry during the half-term break and announced KCC had set up a “dedicated helpline” that families can call to apply for vouchers for Free School Meals. The vouchers can be used in supermarkets during the school holidays.
Anyone eligible for free school meals who needs extra financial support to help feed their children can visit www.kent.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals or call the dedicated KCC helpline on 03000 41 24 24.
Kent residents have until Monday 2nd November at 5pm to apply.
