The UK Soul Choir of Kent & London are a 300 strong choir with six branches in Kent and South East London.
The choir have launched an uplifting virtual musical performance celebrating how members kept the faith in their choir community and were able to use the platform to not only ‘speak your mind’ but to ‘sing your mind’ during the challenging lockdown periods.
Sarah Feleppa spoke to Jason McCrossan about how singing helped her through the lockdown and why the UK Soul Choirs wanted to support the mental health charity Mind by fundraising through this virtual performance, following the loss of one of the group.
The choir aim to raise £10,000 for Mind: https://www.mind.org.uk/
Sarah Feleppa spoke to Jason McCrossan on Maidstone Radio’s the Home Time Show about the fundraising video.
