The winner of the competition to win 2 tickets to Let’s Rock Kent in Mote park on the 3rd September was announced by Stu James on The Saturday Show recently.
The tickets had kindly been given to Maidstone Radio by listener Teresa Anderson who asked that a donation be made to a local charity. Our chosen charity was Kent’s local children’s hospice charity Demelza.
Maidstone resident Jean Adams was the lucky winner and said she was looking forward to seeing Wet Wet Wet performing on stage.
Speaking live on Maidstone Radio on 27 August Jean said she had been listening to Maidstone Radio all week “and it has been great”.
To take part in the competition, listeners just had to download the free Maidstone Radio app – and then use the free messaging service when they heard a song by Sister Sledge, Wet Wet Wet or Bananarama.
Following the event, Jean got back in touch to say she had a great time and that she “had a fabulous day, and enjoyed all the artists who performed on stage. Sister Sledge and Bananarama in particular were outstanding. Couldn’t fault the weather and want to thank everyone at Maidstone Radio”
