LOCKDOWN 2: Parking Restrictions Relaxed

Maidstone Borough Council has announced an immediate relaxing of parking restrictions for residents until Thursday 3 December. The temporary parking rules allow residents, who display a valid resident parking permit, to use off-street car parks for free (at all times of the day) until Thursday 3 December 2020.

Business permit holders, displaying valid permits, can also use off-street car parks for free. The restrictions have been brought in to ease congestion on residential streets as more people choose to follow official government advice to work from home.

Non-resident permit holders are also able to park in resident parking bays until Thursday 3 December 2020.

“Once again we are reacting quickly to this new lockdown situation and trying to help our residents in the best way we can.  Formal NHS permit concessions remain in place and will be honoured in line with the published guidance until government advice changes.  On-street resident parking bays and off-street car parks remain free for NHS health and social care staff displaying a formal government approved permit in their windscreen.”
