Today, Sunday 27th September is National Police Memorial Day.
It is an opportunity to pay tribute to those officers who gave their lives in the line of duty. It is perhaps more poignant this year following the murder of Police Sergeant Matt Ratana at Croydon Police Station during the early hours of Friday 25th September.

As mentioned by Rav Wilding on the BBC’s One Show, at 8 pm on Sunday 27th, you are invited to stand at your front door and shine a light in remembrance of those officers; a torch, a mobile phone, a candle or whatever you fancy, and perhaps raise a glass. It is also the opportunity to show your support for our ‘Thin Blue Line’
